The MultiMode Curtis 1223-3401 is a programmable motor speed controller for permanent magnet (PM) motors that is applicable for vehicles with smaller power demands. The Curtis 1223 controllers are an improved controller version of 1203A, 1208, and 1213 models due to their programmability and enhanced functionality. This is specifically a card-only, 24-36 volt model that is primarily designed to be used in small vehicle applications and mobility devices.


The Curtis 1223-3401 offers noiseless and highly efficient motor control operation. A full braking and solid state reversing power is provided by the four quadrant, full bridge power output stage, and additional hardware such as contactors and relays are not needed. This controller is a 36-volt model with a current limit of 45 amperes and utilizes a 0-5K ohms throttle input. It provides a better driving experience due to embedded features and optional features offered, which can be added according to the preference and demands of the desired application.
