Features
Curtis 1203A model has state-of-the-art features that make it proficient. It is capable to control several types of permanent magnet DC motors like brushless DC electric motors.
Variable drive, true regenerative, and dynamic braking provide reliable speed control for downhill and deceleration.
Power MOSFET technology is highly efficient and doesn’t produce extra heat, thus saving the controller from overheating and reducing losses in battery and DC motor.
Wig-wag throttle system controls both speed and direction of the DC motor with one potentiometer.
Smooth transition from forward to reverse and reverse to forward with the throttle applied during acceleration/deceleration.
Adjustable acceleration and braking rates.
Programmable top speed with an external potentiometer.
Safety and Protection
It is extremely critical to have the necessary safety functionalities to protect the BLDC motor and its controller. Curtis 1203A model comes with numerous protection features that make it highly reliable.
Over-current protection for motor and controller in both drive and braking modes (See compatible motor ratings for further details)
Potentiometer fault detection.
Battery wires polarity protection doesn’t allow the controller to turn ON in case of reverse battery wire connection.
Thermal protection prevents the controller from being over-heated. It also has the automatic reset button that turns ON the controller when the temperature is within range.
Hi-pedal disable system forces the motor controller to remain neutral if the user power up the devices with throttle applied.
Under voltage protection.
Application and Uses:
Curtis 1203A DC motor controller is intended to be installed in various diverse applications. Based on its performance and efficiency, there are certain devices to which it is best suited to install for motor control.
